Model Compatibility and the Green Ring Issue

These key parts are compatible with ALL generations of 12" "aluminium" PowerBook G4's
(1.0 GHz, 1.33GHz, 1.5GHz ). These models were shipped between Jan. 2003 and
May 2006 (Sell dates may be a little later.). Confirmed compatible laptop model numbers
(written on the back of the laptops) include A1010 and A1104.

Green Ring Issue
12" Powerbook laptops were made with two types of scissor mechanisms. We only have
parts supplies for one of these types of scissor mechanisms - those where the scissor mechanism
is all in one color (white). The other type includes a "green ring" in the scissor mechanism. We
do NOT have parts for keyboards whose underlying scissor mechanism includes a "green ring."

Will these parts fix your key position?

These key-cap and "scissor" replacement parts are the top moving parts of individual PowerBook
(G4 12 inch aluminium) keys. Together they can fix a broken key position IF the key position's central "nipple"
contact is still active (registers that the key has been pressed). Guidance on testing whether your "nipple"
